This hippo sculpture will look very amusing emerging from your lawn as if its submerged in water. The hippo is hand crafted by myself to ensure the finest quality, so they make wonderful hippo gifts! I use expensive materials to create my hippos including resin, bronze powder and special metal sealer to achieve the desired finish of each hippo ornament. Much time is taken to prepare the metal animal yard art for the finishing process. They are buffed up to a shine by hand and then a special clear metal sealer is then applied to protect the bronze finish. My hippos are cast using the cold cast bronze method so the colour you see on the hippo in the pictures above isnt a paint effect! It is actually REAL BRONZE! Bronze powder is mixed in to the resin to achieve the look of real bronze metal at a fraction of the weight and cost compared to using traditional bronze casting methods. This makes these look just like the real thing but they cost you much less, and because they are hollow cast they are much lighter and easier to move around when maintaining your garden.
